Monica Duran

Monica Duran leads Armstrong & Associates Insurance Services’ Claims Division as a Claims Manager. With over 20 years in claims management, she has managed claims for employers in a variety of industries including Agribusiness, Healthcare, Manufacturing, and Service industries.

Monica has experience in all aspects of the claims management process, including claims mediation/mitigation, MPN implementation, First Aid program implementation, medical management of complex claims and experience modification forecasting.

Monica holds both the Workers’ Compensation Claims Administrator (WCCA) and Workers’ Compensation Claims Professional (WCCP) designations and is certified with the State of California for Workers’ Compensation Self- Insurance program.

Bilingual in Spanish and English, Monica is able to work closely with your injured employee, to explain the claims process, reduce the probability of litigation, and streamline the claim to get your injured employee back to work.

Monica and her trained claims staff will work in conjunction with our Loss Control and Servicing departments to coordinate our agency’s “Single Point of Service” approach.

Monica and her team proactively assists you, our clients, through the entire claims process from filing the initial claim report, coordination of medical care to implementing an effective return-to-work program. Monica and her team will closely monitor the claim to insure it is handled appropriately and with the least impact to your company.

Our team will develop comprehensive Claims Summary Reports, assist in Experience Modification Forecasting, conduct Claims Trending Analysis and prepare customized First-Aid Programs along with Cal/OSHA compliant bilingual loss control and safety materials.
