Daniel Bertrand - VP

Daniel Bertrand is a Commercial Insurance Agent and Principal Owner of Armstrong & Associates Insurance Services.  Dan began his retail agency experience in 1997 and prior to that spent several years on the insurance company side with Chubb & Son in San Francisco.  Dan’s expertise lies in Property & Casualty insurance for medium-to-large transportation, construction and wholesale/distribution risks.. With close to 20 years of risk management experience, Dan has developed several niche insurance programs with A++ rated insurance carriers.   Dan is currently the endorsed agent for the California Dump Truck Owners’ Association with over 1,500 members and is on the State Fund Insurance Company agency advisory roundtable.  Dan is also an active member of the Licensed Contractor’s of California Association, the Engineering Contractor’s Association, the California Association for Professional Artisan Contractors, the California Professional Security Alliance and several other associations.

Dan’s clients and insurance company partners appreciate and find value in his expertise in risk protection and his desire to provide quality personalized service. Dan has been with Armstrong & Associates since 1998 and has built a solid reputation due to his knowledge of the laws, regulations and intricacies of the transportation and construction industries.  Dan attended New York University’s School of Business with a concentration in Marketing and Finance and is also a graduate of the Fire Safety Institute of New York.

Prior to the insurance industry,  Dan spent 14 years in the hospitality industry managing upscale 4 and 5 Star hotels in Northern California and New York City.  That is where Dan attributes his excellent sense of customer service.  “I find it funny that my entire working life has been built around making sure people get a good night’s sleep.  When you are properly insured, you sleep better just as in a luxurious hotel”. 
Dan enjoys spending time with his family and loves coaching and volunteering with his son’s sports from Little League baseball to Pop Warner football.  Dan also enjoys playing league basketball, exercising, traveling, watching movies and reading history and political books.
